Chief of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Elchin Guliyev participated in the 91st meeting of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops of the CIS member states, held in the city of Manas.
The 91st meeting of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in the city of Manas. Delegations from eight countries participated in the event: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The Republic of Azerbaijan was represented by the Chief of the State Border Service, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev.
During the meeting, the current situation on the external borders of the CIS member states was analyzed, and additional measures aimed at further strengthening border security were identified. The Council summarized the results of activities for 2025 and outlined tasks for the upcoming period, including plans for the conduct of joint border operations.
Following the results of the meeting, 22 decisions were adopted, aimed at strengthening border security and expanding cooperation in this field.
