Conclusion of insurance contracts
In order to simplify the process of concluding border insurance contracts for owners of vehicles registered in foreign countries and not holding a “Green Card,” the Compulsory Insurance Bureau has launched the online platform www.tpl.az as of July 3, 2025.
Currently, border insurance contracts are issued by insurance companies directly at the border crossing points of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
However, starting from October 1, 2025, the issuance of such contracts at border crossing points will be discontinued.
From that date onwards, border insurance contracts may only be concluded in advance – either through the www.tpl.az online platform or by applying to other insurance companies operating within the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
